a fanmade game
i was just starting to post on tiktok again to share the news about my very own game i am trying to make, but just for fun, i posted some fanart of charlie morningstar. before i knew it, she had thousands of views, which was definitely not something i was used to getting. after making a few more characters, people started asking “what game is this” or “where can i download this” and that’s when it struck me.
imagine, a hazbin hotel game, similiar to animal crossing: happy home academy, where you attract sinners to the hotel and convince them to stay by designing them a cool room? your goal is just to unlock furnishings/decor and fill the hotel up with as many sinners as you can.
it would be so cute to be able to view the rooms, watching the sinners go about their day while on the path to redemption.
to keep things crystal clear transparent with everyone, there’s a chance this project is shot down like dazzle was. i don’t own the characters or story in any way, shape, or form. and if vivziepop or AMAZON (amazon being most likely) wants to shut me down for this, they are well within their rights to do so. i am perfectly okay with that, i’ve loved just getting to be apart of the community and making the hazbin art has been SO much fun.
i take solace in the fact that vivziepop is very fan-oriented and according to some of my followers, she will even seek out fanart at cons just to have for her own collection. i am more afraid of amazon, because i assume they own the rights to the story/characters/whatnot. during a live stream, one of my AMAZING followers suggested to me that i also propose a helluva boss game as she did choose to keep that independent. i already have some thoughts on that, but my primary focus right now is the hazbin game.
i am so grateful to all my fans that have enjoyed seeing all our favorite characters as cute, chubby, tiny little sprites. i am so excited to see how far we can really take this, so please, stay tuned! i’ll be sharing a lot more in depth updates here on my blog so you can keep up with the development.
